Technical Skills (Primary)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tandem Developer with 8 - 12 years of experience in a high-availability Tandem environment.

• Must have Tandem development experience in a high-availability environment.
• Must have the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to understand and interpret business functional requirements.
• Must have experience with Tandem tools, including:
• INSPECT, INSPECTx, and Visual Inspect.
• COBOL, XCOBOL, and ECOBOL on Tandem systems.
• PATHWAY for transaction processing.

Must have experience in:

• Team leadership, technology integration, solution design, post-deployment support, and stakeholder communication.
• Training and mentoring team members.
• Designing data models using Data Definition Language (DDL) concepts for SQL and Enscribe.
• Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to independently handle complex issues.
• Must be capable of managing daily client communication and explaining Tandem-related issues to client stakeholders effectively.

Languages and Tools:

• Programming Languages: XCOBOL, COBOL85, TACL
• Tandem Utilities: FUP, Batchcom, NETBATCH, PERUSE, ENFORM, SPOOLCOM, SCUP
• Database Technologies: SQLMX, SQLMP, DDL, TMF, GPC, EMS
• Development Tools: SVN, NDM, Eclipse, KLIST, TEDIT

Databases:

• Required expertise in Enscribe files, SQLMP, and SQLMX.

Soft Skills

• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders.
• Must maintain a positive and constructive attitude in all work-related matters.
